Apple hardware is well-loved by many and often preferred for its ease of use and sleek looks. Whilst the devices themselves are robust when handled with appropriate care, data storage on Apple devices can still be prone to failure, which can be electrical or physical in nature.
Depending on the size, age and type of Apple Mac device, you may have either a 2.5″ HDD, a 3.5″ hard disk drive or a solid state drive. Apple OS uses HFS+ file system to store data and the latest Macs use APFS (Apple File System). This is different to how Windows stores and maintains files (NTFS) and as such, different specialist data recovery methods are deployed by EADR.
Whatever the reason for your data loss, EADR will examine your Mac device and provide you with a diagnosis and plan to recover your data.
The most common reasons for failure are listed below:
Mac OS X 10.0 Cheetah, Mac OS X 10.1 Puma, Mac OS X 10.3 Panther, Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, Mac OS 10.5 Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks, Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, Mac OS X 10.12 Sierra, Mac OS X 10.13 High Sierra, Mac OS X 10.14 Mojave, Mac OS X 10.15 Catalina, Mac OS X 11 Big Sur, Mac OS 12 Monterey, Mac OS X 13 Ventura.

PLEASE READ
It is the responsibility of the customer (sender) to ensure that the device being submitted for data recovery is packaged securely and correctly. The best way to do this is to wrap your item in plenty of bubble wrap, and place it in a small, suitably sized cardboard box for a snug fit. The aim is to avoid the drive moving about in transit.
The cardboard box should be plain and unmarked, apart from our address details. If you do use a recycled box, then any previous writing, address labels, bar codes or logos must be completely obscured with packing tape or permanent marker pen. Finally, please ensure that you have filled in and enclosed one of our shipping forms (available on our website). If you do not have access to a printer then we will require an absolute minimum of your name, address and contact details on a sheet of paper inside the box. We cannot accept responsibility for packages received without this basic information included.
EADR can arrange a collection for you using a recognised National Courier Service, however, this is a no frills, next working day service and is chargeable at £25. This offers tracking only and no liability insurance whatsoever, and you fully understand that if accepted will be undertaken completely at your own risk. EADR Ltd cannot and will not accept any responsibility or liability should your item be lost or damaged whilst in transit.
