This hard drive came in to EADR as it had been dropped. Upon examination in the clean room we discovered all the heads had flipped over. The scoring shown on the platter surfaces is as a direct result of the client/PC repair workshop repeatedly starting the hard drive too see whether they could “get lucky”. Unfortunately this caused irreparable damage to all the platter surfaces.

Should your hard drive suffer a drop/knock and start clicking, it is strongly advisable not to continually attempt to power up your device. You should always seek professional assistance!
