Broken flash media data recovery

Top tip for memory cards

Never use needle-nose pliers to remove your memory card from your laptop. We received this card (pictured) after a client rang us to say that their memory card was stuck in the expansion slot. This was the end result and was brought in to us for recovery.

As you can see, by using the pliers with such force, they have broken the memory chip and unfortunately this was not recoverable. All that was needed was a little TLC and some forethought and there would have been a happy ending.

Please, if your data is precious to you it is always recommended to seek the advice and assistance of a specialist.
