My 1TB m.2 Samsung SSD failed which also had my windows system as well as data that I hadn't backed up as never got round to it. I tried to do my own data recovery as it was recognised using external caddy but after it being accessed multiple times, it eventually stopped mounting or being recognised and got very hot. I found EADR via Google - After checking there website which looked very professional and all the great reviews, I decided to contact them and I got a very quick response with estimates on pricing after describing my fault with my failed SSD.
I sent my failed SSD with an additional good external drive for them to put recovered data onto and they were able to diagnose and recover 99.99% of my data within a week after my SSD suffered a firmware/malfunction failure. It was an expensive lesson but grateful they were able to recover my data and give me peace of mind that I wasn't missing any data.

I used there service July 2025 but took me a while to get round to going through the recovered data and then remember to write a review too :)

They provided excellent service from start to finish and would highly recommend them - Both Alison and Steve were great with brilliant communication as they provided constant updates throughout and were happy to answer any questions I had. This is a fantastic company. One of the best examples of customer service I've seen for a long time. They are empathic, friendly, efficient, time conscious, give great advice and affordable. In every step of the data recovery process, I felt informed and updated. Losing data can be a stressful situation, EADRS were able to recover everything when I thought all may be lost. I was a little conscious of them being a distance away geographically but the whole process from start to finish was exceptional and they managed it wonderfully. I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed with the performance from EADR I thought I would share my experience. Excellent service from start to finish. I was referred to EADR by a local IT company as we were not able to retrieve some important photos from an SD card, and it needed a specialist to see if the data was recoverable. Amazing service from EADR. Alison contacted me via email on the day we were referred explaining very clearly what the next steps would be and cost. I was referred to EADR by my local IT company after they were unfortunately unable to recover the data from my hard-drive that had decided to retire early, and I’m so glad that they did.

From the outset, Alison put my mind at ease as she ran through the process, procedure and timescale that they followed, alongside the clear bespoke pricing structure that they use.

I was advised that other than the initial inspection fee, no other costs would be charged until they had given me a breakdown of the type and amount of data that they were able to recover. At which point I would then have the option to either retrieve this with additional fees that were known beforehand, or not, whereupon I could just walk away without any further cost. In my view was a genuine win/win situation.

During my visit to their office I met Steve, who also allayed my worst fears by saying that he would be hopeful that there would be at least some data that was retrievable.

Within two days I was notified that they were able to recover the data, which was emailed across in an encrypted file format to view and confirm that I was happy that all of the files were present and correct before I paid what I considered was a very reasonable amount.

I arranged for an external hard-drive to be sent directly to EADR the next morning, whereupon I collected this later in the day and walked away a very happy man!

In my opinion, the professionalism of this company is second to none and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking for this type of service.

I was referred to EADR by my local computer shop, after my harddrive decided to become unreachable on my laptop. My computer man could see there were errors appearing within the harddrive , but that expertise would be needed to investigate further and to try and retrieve my data.

EADR/Alison and Steve were fantastic from start to finish! I received a phone call from Alison the day of the referral, where she patiently explained the process to me and the costs involved.

By using their specialised clean chamber, Steve was able to repair my hard drive to a point where the data could be retrieved and stored onto a new hard drive for me. I am SO relieved and grateful that I didn’t lose a lifetime of photographs, music and work. It’s not a cheap service as such, but the costs 100% reflect the work and technical knowledge and experience involved, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend EADR to others or reach out again direct in the future. Excellent service, both the public-facing consumer side and the technical, recover your data side. Could not really have been better.
You hope you never need this, and try to take the precautions about back-ups etc, but when disaster happened and I needed files and data back from a failed external hard-drive, they delivered promptly and efficiently. I particularly liked being kept informed of the plans and options at every step.
I live close enough to drop off and pick up my drives, so cannot comment about their more remote services. I have learned my lesson about data storage, but if I ever need the service again, they would easily be my first choice.

All of the information on my damaged hard drive after accidentally dropping it was thankfully retrieved and returned securely via courier service. You have a chance to review all of the retrievable files prior to committing to cost.
